A lot of interesting and distinct sounds present themselves when riding the T around the city, and over the past five years I have grown to actively listen to them more and more. I was eventually compelled to use those sounds in a piece - "Green" uses both audio and video source recordings stealthily gathered from the Green Line trains. I began composing the audio portion first, playing around with creating layers of both processed material and more literal quotations of the recordings. The images have been tailored to compliment the music.
